Hi kids!
Where is the best, most gay-friendly area to live in Northeast Ohio - or Ohio for that matter?
Best for two women?
Best for two men?

Lets share the knowledge and find me a new home.

We live on Clifton Blvd in the Cleveland side, by Truffles.
Very nice place - just dont cross the railroad tracks up to Detroit. Meaning dont live up there. All seems to be fine until you get to Detroit.
Clifton is great. Lots of stores, restaurants, friendly people. Short walk to Edgewater, great for a bike ride. The neighbors are all cool and crime seems to be limited to car break-ins.
Lots of rainbow flags all up and down the street too. We feel very comfortable here.

My partner and I bought a house in Cleveland Heights three years ago and love it--but I have to admit my bias, I grew up here. We werent really looking for a gay neighborhood, we were more looking for a nice house in a nice neighborhood that was still in our price range. But we did avoid areas we thought might not be friendly. We had a nice surprise when we moved into our house off Noble, north of Monticello: Next door is a lesbian couple, a gay man lives two doors down, another across the street, and there are a few other rainbow flags around. So, we sort of ended up in a gay neighborhood after all.

Is it important to have lots of rainbow flags etc.? I live on W117 and Cove and I love the area, the rainbow flags and having lots of gay people in the neighborhood. I really feel that this is my neighborhood, and I am accepted for who I am. But then again, many think a gay ghetto type environment is not where we want to go as a community. I agree; I need to take the message to others, but more often what I encounter from others who assimilate into more traditional suburbs is that they become more like the straight neighbors and even more closeted.

I live in Columbus and I actually ended up in a gay neighborhood by accident. I live off Bryden in Old Town East. I chose the place in a hurry, and the landlord is a friend of mine. But I was really happy when I started noticing how many rainbow flags and stickers there are in that neighborhood. It makes me feel safer.

I wonder, though, if I really am safer there. Just because there are a lot of gay people in the neighborhood doesnt mean there isnt crime, and it doesnt mean gaybashers never come to visit. But at least I can be sure that some of my neighbors wont be inviting any gaybashers to their parties!

By the way, didnt Girlfriends magazine rate Columbus one of the top ten best lesbian places to live? I could believe it. There certainly are a lot of lesbians living here.

And I might add that even if some of those unforunate things do happen, there should be people in your immediate area that will help.

Even if there area lot of lesbians in Columbus, telling people that I live in the third largest gay city behind San Francisco and New York Lakewood is a great conversation starter.

Another use for the rainbow flag is influencing homebuyers. We take our flag down for the winter. However, last January when a For Sale sign appeared on the house across the street, I put it right back up, blizzard or not. Potential buyers would know who lives in the neighborhood--and someone with a problem would buy elsewhere. A heterosexual couple bought that house. Weve chatted while raking leaves, and they are nice.

Is it me, or is there way too much NEON on Clifton Blvd these days?!

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Wmrwhite on Friday, July 07, 2000 - 12:09 am: Edit

Having lived in Lakewood for 31 years in two different homes and neighborhoods, I can say that our neighbors have been great! The city hasnt! True, they leave us alone; however, it is way past time that they should acknowledge us in more positive ways than tolerance. A direct result? As we become more affluent, we are beginning to move out--tolerance is not acceptance.

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Vwguy on Tuesday, July 11, 2000 - 02:24 pm: Edit

Actually, there is a number of good places to live. Funny enough I find Clifton Blvd. one of the worst places to live. Although the rainbow flags fly all over the place, I know a number of people who have been attacked, gotten their cars stolen, and have had their apartments broken into.
Actually there are a number of tolerant suburbs that are quite nice to live in if you are a gay couple or single. Ive found my friends in Rocky River, Sagamore Hills, Penninsula, and Cleveland Heights have it quite good. All of those neiborhoods have very tolerant residents, and they are also able to fly their flags proudly. Go figure. Never would of guessed that.
Although, Clifton Blvd., is regarded as Clevelands Gay Ghetto....it is by no means a Short North of Columbus or a Halstead Street of Chicago. Cleveland lacks a central driving force for a gay community: hence why you have these pockets of population all over Greater Metro Cleveland. And for the record, Lakewood is NOT what it used to be. I know more people moving out of Lakewood than in.

Please move here to Avon. Lorain County needs a ghetto and this be it, okay? I just cannot be the only rainbow here, can I?

I notice there havent been any recent postings to this topic. However, I would like to hear updates. My partner and I will be moving to Cleveland with an infant. We are trying to figure out a lesbian couple friendly area that also has good schools for the little one. Any suggestions?

Top of pagePrevious messageNext messageBottom of pageLink to this message   By Tommy on Thursday, May 31, 2001 - 09:19 am: Edit

I would consider the city of Lakewood. They have good schools and alot of gay couples live in the city. Single people too. It is a very diverse city.
The only downside I can think of is that the tax rate is a bit higher than living in CLeveland or some of the surrounding communities.
But for that tax money, you get nearly instant police and fire response, good schools, and a well maintained city.

My boyfriend & I have lived in Cleveland Heights for about 4 years now. Our neighborhood is pretty tolerant, but our house & car have been egged several times in the past 2 years, probably by young kids in the neighborhood. But all in all we love the area. Most people are open minded, and often highly educated.
Getting to the gay nightclubs takes about half an hour. However, being close to the arts & cultural offerings of University Circle, as well as the shopping & restaurants of Shaker Square, Coventry, Beachwood Place, Chagrin Blvd, and Cedar Hill more than makes up for that. Its only a matter of time before more gay bars migrate to the east side. It is also great to know that Cleveland Heights has more same-sex partners living together than any other city in Ohio. Definitely consider Cleveland Heights if youre making a move!

Tremont is a well-rounded community, meaning it offers a lot of diversity. Theres a central park, coffee shops, shops to browse in, a library, easy access to anywhere you want to go and affordable to expensive housing. Cant say the parking is always the best, but where is it vunderbar anyway? The newer townhomes all provide garages, and there are many homes that do, just not all. Im surprised no one has mentioned Tremont in this forum.

My partner, daugther and I live in Brookpark and have no idea if there are other lesbian couples here. Wish there were because it would be nice to socialize with others in our situation. Nice to relate to others who can relate, you know? Anyway, if anyone out there in Brookpark, write me at kimzpet@aol.com

To Misio regarding gay friendly churches:

Im not a church goer myself, but Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ in Tremont may be what you are looking for. I suspect it is gay friendly because they once staged some Tennessee Williams plays that I attended some years ago. They also sponsor art related events. Here is their contact info:

My husband owned our house before we got married and he is currently out of work. Not completely out but making significantly less than he was and sure not enough to qualify him for a re-mortgage to benefit from the current mortgage rates. Additionally, I just went through bankruptcy myself yet still working make a good salary.

My question is this: is there anyone who could recomend a gay friendly bank or mortgage company that could help us to get a petter rate or guide us in actions to improve our current mortgage situation? Perhaps jsut give us your opinions.

Im from a small everyone-knows-everyting town. You know, where everyone thinks your business is what they make it? Approximately 30 miles to the closet support for LGBT? Where knowledge and information seems to be at least six-months behind? Ive been struggling for three years now to keep my home-based business going. This is my home town and I have the perfect niche with minimum competition. But sometimes I just wonder why I moved back here? I dont really want to move away from my home-town but Im feeling that sometimes that would be the best thing due to narrow views and support. Any advice?

Hello,

My partner, our two sons 6 and 3 and I are considering a move to Cleveland.

I am checking out what resources or groups are available for lesbian moms.

Also, we plan to come in in January and visit some schools. We would like to look at housing
with a real estate agent. We are interested in Cleveland/Univ./Shaker hts.

Any agent recommendations? Any gay family friendly neighborhood recomendations?

Look forward to hearing from you!

Hello all,
My partner, 2 little girls and I live in brunswick. Moved there almost 2 years ago. Love the area because its not so city, but not very many gay friendly events or places to go. With our jobs and taking care of the girls were usually busy, but would still be nice to get involved and have another couple/family close by. Anyone in the area?
have a nice day

FYI--Both Pilgrim Church and Plymouth Congregational Church are UCC churches in the area that are Open and Affirming. They go through a process and vote to make it part of their governance. They have a statement that expresses the fact that they open all people regardless of race, sexual orientation, etc.

I WAS SHOCKED WHEN I SAW HOW MUCH MONEY CAME FLOODING INTO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT

I turned £3 into £14,706 within the first 30 days of operating the business plan that I am about to reveal to you free of charge. If you decide to take action on the following instructions, I will personally GUARANTEE that you will enjoy a similar return! Please do not be skeptical about this program. At least think about it for a few days. Otherwise you will be throwing away over £10,000 in cash!

My name is Mark Sutton. I was made redundant from my job in August of 2001, along with several other employees at the printing firm where I worked. At that time I was living beyond my means and in serious debt. Several debt collectors were hounding me on an almost daily basis, and this consequently started a chain reaction that ended with the repossession of my car and then my home. As you can probably imagine, my prospects looked pretty bleak.

Then, in March of 2002, I received a short and simple email telling me how to make over £10,000 at a time. I ignored it because of course, I was skeptical. However, I didnt delete that email because something about it rang true to me, and I was desperate to know whether it was possible to make that amount of money in such a short space of time. I finally realized that I had absolutely nothing to lose by having a go at the plan offered to me in that email. And apart from that, I just couldnt stop myself from thinking What if it actually works?

Therefore, I put my doubts to one side and I went ahead and followed the simple instructions given in that email. It took me less than 30 minutes to complete and it cost me no more than £3. And yet, by the end of 2002, I was able to book the family holiday of a lifetime in Miami, and I bought a brand new Audi A8 with hard cash. And in the autumn of 2003, I purchased a tidy semi-detached home for no less than £125,000. And yet, I dont owe a single penny to anyone!

To date, I have made exactly £392,718. My accountant has drawn up a cash-flow forecast in which he predicts that, within the next 24 months, I will become a millionaire just through this one business alone. Even now as I write this, I find it strange to come to terms with the fact that, like most people, Ive worked hard and struggled all my life just to get by and then something ridiculously simple drops into my lap and immediately turns my life around completely. When I think back to all the similar emails I had previously deleted, it makes me shudder, because now I know just how close I came to missing out completely.

What did it say in that email? Well, if youll read on, all will be revealed!

This is the CHEAPEST, FASTEST and EASIEST way to make serious money online - PERIOD!

The business plan I am about to share with you works perfectly every single time. Ive never made less than £10,000 from it on each occasion. Let me assure you that this is a LEGITIMATE BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, a perfectly legal moneymaking enterprise. It does not require you to sell anything, or speak to your friends, family or anybody else unless you want to. In fact, you do not need to come into contact with any people whatsoever. Anyone with a pulse can make their fortune with this system. If you believe that every dog has its day, then follow the simple step-by-step plan exactly as it is set out below. If you do this and this alone, I GUARANTEE that within the next 30 days you will receive a SUBSTANTIAL SUM in cash via your PayPal account. I know this must sound like an outrageous claim, but believe me, this business works like nothing else you may have seen before in your life! Please do not allow your initial skepticism to deprive you of certain financial success.

I am so certain that you will make a SERIOUS INCOME with what Im going to tell you that Im willing to roll up my sleeves and help you begin - NOW!! You will not be asked to buy anything or sacrifice your free time. You will make some fast and easy cash, using just a copy of this page and the simplest and most popular Internet payment system in existence!

This program works no matter what country you are in or what currency you use. You wont need to run a website, or make phone calls, or make photocopies, or send out letters through the mail, or pay for advertising, etc. The only things you will need are:

An email address
A PayPal account with at least £3 deposited in it
30 minutes of your time

This program takes just 30 minutes to set up. After that, there is absolutely no work whatsoever to do on your part. And yet, you will stand to gain many thousands of pounds within the next few weeks from those 30 minutes of easy work! Yes, I know, it sounds too good to be true! I thought exactly the same thing myself until I actually tried it out!

NEED PROOF? Here are just 3 testimonials from the countless individuals who decided to invest nothing more than £3 and half an hour of their time to participate in this program:

------------------------------------------------------------
What an amazing plan! I followed your instructions just 3 weeks ago, and although I havent made 10 grand yet, Im already up to £6,135. Im absolutely gob smacked. Alan Humphries , Leicester

This is Lisa. Well, what can I say?... THANK YOU SO MUCH! I sent 40 e-mails out like you said and then I just forgot about the whole thing. To be honest, I didnt really think anything would come of it. But when I checked my paypal account a week later, there was over £3,000 in it! After 30 days I now have over £11,000 to spend! I cant thank you enough! Lisa McDonald, Northampton

I was shocked when I saw how much money came flooding into my paypal account. Within 3 weeks my account balance has ballooned to £7,449. At first I thought there had been some sort of error with my account! Richard Barrie , Cirencester
------------------------------------------------------------

Lets get started, just follow the instructions exactly as set out below and then prepare yourself for a HUGE influx of cash over the next 30 days!

Heres what you need to do. . .

STEP 1
If youre not already a PayPal user, the very first thing you need to do is click on the PayPal link below and SIGN UP. It takes just 2 minutes!

Heres the link: https://www.paypal.com/uk/mrb/pal=T7LG25MEDN34S

Be sure to use this link so you can sign up for a free BUSINESS account. Youll need to have a BUSINESS account and not a PERSONAL account otherwise you wont be able to receive credit card payments from other people.

STEP 2
It is an undeniable law of the universe that we must first give in order to receive. So the first thing to do when you have your PayPal account is to IMMEDIATELY send a £3 payment to the FIRST email address in the list below, along with a note saying:

Please add me to your mailing list.

Be certain to add this note, as this is what KEEPS THIS PROGRAM LEGAL. Instructions on how to send a payment are under SEND MONEY at the Paypal site. Its so easy!!

When you send your £3 payment to the first address in the list, do it with a great big smile on your face because as you sow, so shall you reap!

Heres the current list:

1. johnw092@hotmail.com
2. Susiexuk@aol.com
3. rosiehartwell2004@hotmail.com
4. order@emediadirect.co.uk
5. lemoshe@hotmail.com

As soon as you transfer a £3 payment to the email address at the top of the list, something very eerie happens. It gives you an indescribable, overwhelming sense of certainty, belief and conviction in the system. Youve just proved to yourself that, because you have done it, there must be a great number of other people ready to do exactly the same. Thus you have now seen for yourself, first hand, that this business actually works!

STEP 3
Now you need to obtain a copy of the text on this page, as youll be e-mailing it out to at least 40 people. The copy that you will send out will contain YOUR unique PayPal referral URL and YOUR email address at number 5 in the list. To do this, highlight all of the text on this page and then COPY and PASTE it into a new email message. Now you can edit the text in any way you want!

You will need to move each of the email address up a position in the list in STEP 2 above. So, number 5 becomes number 4, and number 3 becomes number 2, and so on. The address that is currently at number 1 should be removed after youve sent your £3 payment, and you should type YOUR email address at number 5 in the list.

You should also type YOUR PayPal referral URL in STEP 1 above. You can find your referral URL at Paypal after you join. Just look at the bottom of the first page once you sign into Paypal, and click on the referrals link. Once youve entered your PayPal referral URL, and your email address is at number 5 in the list, your email is ready for sending.

Send out a minimum of 40 copies of your email - but only to people you know, or to people who respond to MLM offers, or to people whove sent YOU offers. This is NOT considered SPAM if youre responding to other peoples offers, or sending to friends, family and any existing contacts.

THATS ALL THERE IS TO IT! The whole process should take you about 30 minutes to complete. BE PREPARED TO GET EXCITED.... YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED!!! Half an hour of easy work is all thats needed - no phone calls, no capital outlay, no postage stamps, no printing, copying or waiting, and the concept is 100% legal.

By sending this letter and the payment via EMAIL, the response time is EXTREMELY fast. Within 30 days, a substantial cash sum will pass through your PayPal account. And thats GUARANTEED. Keep a copy of your email safe so that you can use it again whenever you need more cash!

Heres how it works:

Because of the virtually zero investment, speed, and high profit potential, this program has a VERY HIGH RESPONSE RATE! As long as you send your emails to people who are likely to be interested in this program, you can expect a response from about 25% of the people you send to. But lets be extremely conservative here and assume that you get only a 12.5% response:

------------------------------------------------------------
You send out your email to 40 different people. You can expect at least 5 of those people to do exactly what you did 12.5% of 40 = 5. By this time, your email address will have moved up to Number 4 in the list, and this list will now have reached around 200 people 5 x 40.

Out of those 200 people, you can expect at least 25 of them to respond 12.5% of 200, so thats a further 1,000 emails 25 x 40 being sent out with you now at the Number 3 position.

Out of those 1,000 people, you can expect at least 125 of them to respond 12.5% of 1,000, so thats a further 5,000 emails 125 x 40 being sent out with you now at the Number 2 position.

Out of those 5,000 people, you can expect at least 625 of them to respond 12.5% of 5,000, so thats 25,000 emails 625 x 40 being sent out with you at the Number 1 spot!

Out of those 25,000 people, you can expect around 3,125 of them to respond
12.5% of 25,000. Since you will now be at NUMBER 1 in the list, you will receive: £9,375 3,125 x £3.
------------------------------------------------------------

Over the course of 30 days, this money will be sent to you by a few thousand people just like yourself - who are willing to invest half an hour to receive around £10,000 in cash! This is real money that you can spend on anything you wish! Just deposit it to your own bank account or spend it directly from your PayPal account!!! It really is that easy!

But theres more!!! For each person who signs up with PayPal as a result of using YOUR unique referral URL, you will automatically receive a referral bonus of up to £75 from PayPal!

Remember, the 12.5% example above is assuming that 35 out of the 40 people you send your email to will do absolutely nothing except delete your email. Additionally, the above example assumes that each participant will only send out 40 emails. Imagine what would happen if each participant sent out 1,000 emails instead of just 40! Believe me, many people will do this and much more!

Only the first person on the list gets your £3 gift, but everyone in the list will rise to that Number 1 position as thousands of emails are being sent out. No cheating can occur dont be fooled by claims that this system can be cheated as Paypal only allows one account per person. Because it is so ridiculously easy, the response rate is VERY HIGH and VERY FAST - You will start seeing dramatic results in less than one week! Just in time for next months bills!

UNLIMITED income potential!

This program is structured for everyone to send only 40 emails each to start. However, you are certainly not limited to 40. Send out as many emails as you want. Every 40 emails you send has a return of at least £10,000 within 30 days. So, if you can email 50, or 100, or whatever, GO FOR IT! The more you put into it.... the more you get out!

A word of warning! Dont be tempted to add your email address to position 1 in order to earn money fast! It doesnt work like that! If you do that, youll ONLY reach the people you directly send emails to, and then your address will be immediately removed from the Number 1 place and you wont reach thousands of people! But, if you add your name to the Number 5 position, there will be literally tens of thousands of people receiving and sending emails later - when your name is at the Number 1 spot!!! So please, play by the rules and the serious money will come to you! This program doesnt cost anything but £3 and about half an hour of your time, and if everyone plays fair, everyone WINS!!

So there it is. You now have the knowledge that will enable you to make over £10,000 within the next few weeks. The only thing that can hold you back now is a lack of faith or a lack of self-belief. However, any doubts you may currently have will disappear within a few days of putting this plan into practice. Trust me on this! You certainly wont regret it.

Thank you, and good luck in your ventures.

Best Regards

Mark Sutton

P.S. You are probably skeptical of this, especially with all the different programs out there on the Web, but if you dont try this you will never know. So, just make a nice cup of tea and get started on it now. After all, you cant lose, but you stand to gain more in the next few weeks than many people earn in a year!

Lakewood has a decently high population of gay folks, but very few genuinely gay businesses, pretty much just Diverse Universe and City Dweller. There are no actual gay or lesbian bars in town.

Actually, over the past 10 - 15 years, the gay population of cities is breaking from the neighborhood ideal. That is to say that gays are moving out of the so-called gay neighborhoods, and into the suburbs around the area. For me, it was Olmsted Falls, for others, Brooklyn, Berea, Rocky River, etc. And from the looks of it, it doesnt seem like the straight people really care if there are gay people living in theyre neighborhoods. Granted, there will usually be some sour apple out there, but Ive been living here for 12 years, and have experienced no troubles what so ever.

So basically, all you have to do is decide where you want to live.

Make money with Pay Pal, I`ve just risked $5.00, wanna try?

PAYPAL!GUARANTEED MONEY MAKER!JUST STARTED MORE MONEY THE EARLIER YOU JOIN
FORGET THE WEBIK LETTER.
FORGET THE DANGOPAY MAILER.
FORGET THE OLD PAYPAL LETTER.
NO MORE $6 TO $6000 BY MAIL.
!!! PLEASE BE HONEST !!!
IF YOU REALLY WANT TO MAKE BIG CASH FAST, YOU HAVE TO GET IN AT THE VERY BEGINNING. WE ALL KNOW THAT THE LONGER YOU

WAIT, THE LESS RETURN YOU GET ON YOUR INVESTMENT. WELL, THIS IS AS NEW AS IT GETS. THIS LETTER WAS STARTED ON AUGUST 12

2005. WHICH MEANS THAT EVERYONE THAT GETS ON BOARD EARLY, WILL RECEIVE THE BIGGEST PIECE OF THE PIE. DO NOT WAIT UNTIL IT

IS OVER SATURATED. IN A MATTER OF DAYS, THIS LETTER WILL BE IN EVERY MESSAGE BOARD ON THE INTERNET. NO SCAM, NO SPAM, NO

PYRAMID. THIS IS PERFECTLY LEGAL AND LATER I WILL EXPLAIN WHY.
THIS IS A BRAND NEW LETTER. HOWEVER, IT STILL USES PAYPAL. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE BEST AND MOST TRUSTED NAME IN ON-LINE

PAYMENT SERVICES. First of all, the other letters say that if you open a WEBIK or DANGOPAY account, you will receive $5 just for signing up.

That is not exactly true. First you have to deposit a certain amount of money and they will add $5 to your deposit as a free gift. You can then

withdraw the amount you originally deposited. That is too much of a hassle and takes too much time. To be honest, the main goal is to make as

much money as quickly as you can. This letter will explain how you can take $5 and turn it into THOUSANDS in a matter of days, and in some

cases, just hours!!! We all know that TONS of money has been made using all of these programs and this one is no different, except that it is

BRAND NEW. I will explain to you the simplest, easiest, and most secure way for you to start making HUGE CASH PROFITS!!!
First, go to paypal.com and sign up for an account. It is totally free. A business account is recommended because it does not have a sending or

withdrawal limit. Paypal says you can even use your name as your
business.
http://www.paypal.com/
Next, deposit $5 into your new Paypal account. You can do this by adding your checking account to your Paypal account. This may take 3-4

days. Or if you want to start right away, use your credit or debit card to make the $5 deposit to Paypal. Paypal guarantees your security when

using personal information. They do not release your information to third parties. Very, very, very, secure!
Take the $5 in your Paypal account and follow these simple steps:
1 Click on the SEND MONEY tab
2 Enter the e-mail address in the #1 position

1.ericcarpet72@aol.com
2.phazelst@hknet.com
3.khmaiboy978@yahoo.com

3 Send the $5 to the first e-mail address with an attached note, or a seperate e-mail saying ADD ME TO YOUR MAILING LIST. This makes it

legal.
4 Copy this letter. To do this, simply place your cursor at the top of the page, hold it and drag it all the way down to the end of this letter, which

will highlight it. Then click on EDIT and select COPY.
Now open wordpad file on your computer and put the cursor in the top of the page in the notepad. Then click on EDIT, then select PASTE.

This will copy the letter onto your computer. Be sure to save this letter as a text file. Then send an e-mail to the third position 3rd e-mail saying

THANKS, IVE JOINED. This also makes this legal.
5 Now remove the #1 e-mail address and move #2 and #3 up a position, and list your e-mail as #3.
6 Log on to YAHOO, GOOGLE or any other major search engine, and type in making money message board, or post message, or making

money forums, or employment, or business opportunity, or chat sites, or news groups. Post this letter in at least 150-200 of these

message boards and news groups. It is very important that you post as many as possible, because the more you post, the quicker your name will

move up the list. When your name reaches the #1 position, is when you start bringing in the BIG BUCKS!!
Now just sit back and watch your Paypal account grow!!!
Good luck and make lots and lots of money!!!!!!!!!

Hi my name is Stosh and I live in Lakewood with my wife and daughter and two labs dogs. I was thinking of writing a story for the Lakewood Observer about how Lakewood has become home to many gays I guess I am really trying to write a story about Lakewoods gay and lesbian history. My wife and I decided to buy a home here and start a family because of the wide range on people that populate Lakewood. I am 31 and for as long as I can remember when Lakewood would come into a discussion some one in the conversation would refer to the gays that live in Lakewood unfortunately, they would not be thinking this was a positive. So does anyone have any idea how Lakewood became a good place for gays to live and when it really started to become known as a home for many gays. I know the shops and bars are a draw for everyone, but was their ever any other draw to Lakewood, like maybe a specific bar or shop or coffee shop, etc..Ideas?
